Rooted in more than two decades of construction and forensic building experience, Katalyst was founded by Sr. Principal Jim Kessler to bridge the gap between technical construction failure and actionable remediation planning. Senior Principal, construction forensic specialist with 20+ years expertise.

With more than two decades of leadership in the construction and forensic engineering sectors, Jim Kessler founded Katalyst Advisory Group to restore technical rigor to property lifecycle management. His career is built on a foundation of complex building pathology, where he specialized in identifying systemic failures in structural and envelope performance. Jim has served as a lead consultant on multi-million dollar remediation projects, providing critical forensic analysis and expert testimony for HOAs and large-scale property owners. Under his guidance, Katalyst bridge the gap between architectural vision and buildable reality, ensuring that risks are mitigated through evidence-based planning and proactive maintenance strategies. His approach combines technical precision with a client-first philosophy, transforming how stakeholders view and manage their physical assets.
